Club Championship Winner - 2005 2006 Summer Season - Royal NZ Yacht Squadron

Mike and Sheryl, owner operators of Gulfwind Sailing Academy were at the Royal NZ Yacht Squadron Summer prizegiving to receive three cups for winning the Line, Handicap and overall Club Championship in their division. The RNZYS is New Zealand’s senior and premier yacht club and has held the America’s Cup.  This has been a very successful racing season for Mike and Sheryl in their yacht ‘Share Delight’ winner of the RNZYS Club Championship, 120 mile Coastal  

Classic race from Auckland to Russell and the 125 mile Quantum Challenge race from Auckland to Tauranga. Sheryl and her all women’s crew were also winners in the summer Club Ladies series.In conjunction with their race program, they have been busy holding Royal Yachting Association (RYA) courses from Start Yachting to Yachtmaster level.During the winter schedule they specialise in holding their popular Introduction to Club racing sessions.
