FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEGulfwind Sailing Academy was a recipient of a national award at the Coastguard Boating Education Awards of Excellence, held at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland on Saturday night.
The ‘RYA School of the Year Award’, sponsored by the Royal Yachting Association, was presented to the Auckland based RYA Training Centre, in recognition of their dedication and delivery of internationally recognised RYA sailing courses.
Sailing School Principal Mike Lanigan accepted the award on behalf of Gulfwind Sailing Academy. “I am delighted to receive this award” said Mr Lanigan. “We enjoy taking students out on the water and giving them an opportunity to develop their sailing skills in a practical environment.”
Mark Bright, General Manager of Coastguard Boating Education says Gulfwind Sailing Academy is a valuable provider of Coastguard Boating Education-administered RYA courses.
“Gulfwind delivers an excellent sailing and motor cruising programme that complements theoretical courses, such as Day Skipper, Boatmaster, Coastal Skipper and Ocean Yachtmaster.”
